MITAL M. SHAH

CREATOR | STRATEGIST | ADVISOR

Ms. Mital M. Shah is a seasoned independent consultant whose forte is high-level collaborations with “owners” to realize a vision from concept to launch, and beyond. Mital has worked across industries, sectors, geographies, and business models for more than two decades. Her interdisciplinary approach draws on a robust background in finance, fashion, design thinking, and innovation as well as tactical experience as a creator, writer, producer, brand-builder, operator, and product launch specialist.

Since 2010, Mital has played a niche role in the alternative investments space, crafting nuanced narratives and driving launch campaigns for several high-profile funds. Her innovative role in the sector uniquely combines investment knowledge with the creative and execution skills she honed while at luxury brand Vera Wang, where she joined in 2002 and served in various capacities (including strategic advisor) until 2012. At Vera Wang, Mital worked directly with the President/Co-Founder to develop and launch multiple brand extensions—including product lines, geographic markets, media formats, and targeted partnerships—during a critical stage of expansion. Prior to Vera Wang, Mital was an investment banking analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, working across the New York, Seoul, and Hong Kong offices from 1998 to 2000.

Mital has nurtured her own artistic vision through Well Souled, an independent publishing venture positioned at the crossroads of travel, style, and purpose which she launched in 2006. As the Creator/Writer and Creative Director of Well Souled, Mital blends journalistic storytelling with fashion-inspired visuals to curate a unique portrayal of a country. Well Souled's flagship art books—featuring South African and Brazil—are a celebration of culture beyond stereotypes that have attracted global partnerships and noteworthy press. Well Souled is currently exploring a digital format as a complement to its print format.

Mital is a graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service (BS, International Economics, magna cum laude), Harvard Business School (MBA), and Savannah College of Art and Design (MA, Interior Design—Outstanding Graduate Design Research Award). She was awarded a Fulbright Scholar to Thailand (2000 to 2001) to research the thread between Indian and Thai dance. Mital is one of the Founders of Georgetown University’s Rangila, an annual cultural showcase that has become one of the largest, most diverse, and most anticipated events on campus as well as a nationally recognized student-led fundraising campaign. Rangila celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2024. Mital has served on the Board of Directors of the Alliance Theatre at Atlanta’s Woodruff Arts Center, the third largest arts campus in the United States, since late 2019.
